Problem entering the ILS frequency

Featured Replies

Hi all,I never use to have this problem but recently I was flying the 747 FSX and I just could not put the frquency in. Usually I go to the fmc click on dep/arr button and select the arrival airport and click on an ILS runway and select then I go to nav radio always on the fmc and the frquency is there but this time for some reason I ma not able to, can someone help me please.RegardsPatrick

hello Patrick, i dont fly with fsx, but i suppose the 747 is the same as the fs9. what you are doing at the departure airport in loading the fmc is ok, but i think somewhere along the line you have probably forgotten some of the features that occur during the route, one being, that the 747 radio system is fully automatic including entering the radio frequencies for enroute VORs and when you are nearing your destination airport click on the init page and this will open up the approach and the destination airport with runway length etc will be there, and on entering the nav/radio you will also see the ils radio frequency and app. course, you will probably remember after doing all this what is required thereafter to perform the approach and landing. hope this helps. richard welsh.
