June 28, 200916 yr I'm using photoreal textures including autogen (houses and trees). The color of the trees doesn't match with the photoreal layer so i wonder if it is possible to remove those trees and leave the houses for what they are. I've tried to lower the setting of the trees, but it cannot remove all trees:TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=100 (0 is not working either)TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=3000 Maybe it is possible to have a 'empty' tree texture so i don't see any tree at all. I hope someone knows the answer since it is really bothering me to fly like this while the autogen buildings look very nice in the scenery so to disable autogen at all is not a option.

Are you sure you have them in the correct section in the FSX.cfg? They need to be under the [Terrain] heading.

June 28, 200916 yr You cannot completely remove trees in FSX, even if you set the fsx.cfg line to equal 100 or less. Even at 10 or zero you will still get some trees. The best way of doing this is to set the tweaked value of the buildings to max (I believe it is 6000 but I might be wrong here) and set the trees to around 50, then in FSX reduce your autogen slider to less than halfway. You'll get as many buildings as if you had Autogen maxed with the default number which is I think 3500-ish, but even fewer trees.Rob at RealAir Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

Too bad there is no set of 'empty' forest/tree textures to fool the fsx engine so it would be completely removed in the scenery since it have a big color difference between some ground textures and the actual trees what makes it very unrealistic.
