Trying FSX again

Featured Replies

I haven't tried FSX since it first came out, since then, I have a much improved system, and have FS9 working like a charm, with a lot of favorite add-ons..........Now I am going to put FSX on a separate drive , and need some sage advice from the readers on how to install the MS patches, how to install freeware and payware aircraft and scenery, plus what basic programs do I need, such as ASAX, FSUIPC, a good terrain, some airports, and some good sceneries..........I recall that you have to manuallly make some folders before installing planes and maybe scenery: anyone know of a MS tutorial on a fresh install of the FSX??..........X has had a lot of bad press to date, but maybe now there are enough fixes to make it somewhat easy for us mid-level simmers.........Your comments will be greatly appreciated!!! Hi,Install FSX, run it once.Install SP1, run FSX once.Install SP2, run FSX.Defrag your hard drive. Most planes and scenery get installed the same as in FS04.
