June 29, 200916 yr I keep getting this stupid message:Obviously this is nonsense because I am online now, and there is plenty of bandwidth for it so it should be fine...right? It works sort of OK for the first few hours, and then I start getting this, first every half hour, then right down to every 5 seconds. Please can someone help make it go away?! :( I also get big white crosses when using the ISD LIRF scenery. This never happened at first but after a re-installation it came to haunt me. I had the same thing at Mumbai, but after installing the IFSD Irish stuff it went away, so I'm assuming its the same here. This is what it looks like:Help would be most appreciated. Thanks
July 1, 200916 yr I would turn off all firewalls and see if problem persists. It could be Windows or a 3rd party firewall blocking FS9's access to the Internet. I had this problem before, but now I can not remember how I solved it, sorry. Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB
July 1, 200916 yr As for the real weather link it does sometimes go down. So if you are confident that your link is ok and your spyware/antivirus programe hasn't blocked it then you will just have to be patient!ISD Lirf my scenery is fine so you might have a bug in your scenery or a problem with your card. ISD themselves are no longer on line so you will have to wait until the library is up before downloading a fresh copy. I don't have any AV software at all, I had AVG free but when it started scanning it brought my i7 920 to its knees (!) so I got rid of it and am completely vulnerable, apart from the standard XP stuff. If I turn off the Windows firewall will that help, and would I be even more vulnerable?AS for the LIRF, I have the original downloaded file and still get this. I put all the textures into the FS9/Texture folder but haven't checked yet if it worked. Also it happened on my old PC with GeForce 4000, and now with GTX285.
