June 30, 200916 yr Hi.I am trying to change the AFCAD file for my EKCH addon scenery (Swedflight).I want to make rwys 22R and 04R have takeoff only and 22L/04L have landings.I tried to change using the AFCAD app. and going to Runways->Properties.Here I can click "Closed For Landing" or "Closed for takeoff" for each runway end.An easy fix, I thought. Nonono... Changing this to my preference only closed down all runways except 22R for ALL traffic... No matter the wind direction..So.. any fancy AFCAD-guru out there to help me?Thanx in advance.//Johan /Johan Windh

The I just gave up. The problem is not AFCAD, it's ATC itself. You see... the default ATC in MSFS was seduced by dark side. It's evil!!! I have one airport which is having runaway 12 and 30... take off from 30 is heading to sea and taking off from 12 is heading to high mountains. So I tried to close 30 for landing and 12 for take off. It's working on me. When I'm at airport but for AI Traffic it's using 30 for landing... it looks horrible... The traffic is descending from 15.000 to 3.000 FT in 3 seconds and the landing on 30... So this Traffic Control just doesn't care for what you close or not in AFCAD. As long as it has on runaway for landing it will use that one also for landings. There is another story alsoATC will use from 2 or 3 crossing runaways only one. And will close the rest. So even when you will try to choose another runaway it will not even appear in the list. And if you are flying by IFR (in this case on aprroach you have in options all runaways), and you will try to select the runaway which is closed by ATC tower will ask you to proceed to the runaway that it's using. And it doesn't care even you have low fuel, faulty equipment etc. This is what in Microsoft believe is correct ... :( So you will have to accept it as it is or try to install some software to replace default ATC. Or (as I'm doing most of the time) just ignore ATC He/She will shout little bit but then everyhting will be OK... and in that case you have no chances to hit other plane, becasue ATC is not using that runaway :(
