July 9, 200916 yr Author CJ, if Crucial said 1GB, I'd stick with that. They are taking into account the number of sticks and density the motherboard can handle. BTW, Ram is cheap nowadays. As for the GPU, the Galaxy should do alright. Make sure it'll fit and do some research on your power supply, >or= 300W will do it alright. As a disclaimer, I can tell you FSX will run BETTER but not by any means fast on your system. You are severely limited by your CPU and motherboard. As buying a new system or building one isn't an option, I'd say squeeze what you can out of it, but don't spend over $200 doing it.I should clarify. When I say make sure the GPU will fit, I mean make sure you can physically fit the card in your tower and have enough room below and above. Also, this card requires a 6pin molex from the power supply. Google that, and make sure you:A. Have a free 6pin MolexORB. Have a free 4pin MolexIf only B, you'll need an adapter like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16812887001 Just to clarify Zach - they said I can add an EXTRA 1GB - that'll give me 2 GB RAM. Still a crap system for FSX I know, but will certainly help. It's more the knowledge needed and time needed than the money which is stopping me from building my own system. There's so much to know - I could just never do it.Though it would be great to have a computer which ran FSX wiithout a care in the world.By the way Zach, you say I am limited by CPU - are they interchangeable like the GPU and RAM, or am I stuck with the one I've got?CJ
July 9, 200916 yr Processors aren't simply interchangeable. You've got to have the right socket (yours is 775) and there are a few other variables. I think the one thing that may keep you from upgrading is your BIOS. Your BIOS, as far as I've seen, doesn't support many processors. Actually, I think it only supports yours. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
