July 12, 200916 yr I have in mind to buy a steering wheel and pedals to run formula 1 2008 for the PC, but wondered if there was one on the market that could somehow suitably double up as a yolk and pedals for Flight Simulator X/2004?Ideally I would want something that is hybrid, thus being a cross between a full steering wheel and the shape of a yolk, and with as many functions (buttons) as possible. As a bare minimum i'd want an array of buttons for gear changing (F1) and for other aircraft controls (FS9/X).Is there anything that springs to mind without breaking the bank, ideally around

July 13, 200916 yr I have used my CH Yoke occasionally as a steering wheel. It works quite well but for serious racing games you might want to use something more robust. As Sargeski said you won't find a yoke for that kind of money, but you might find a cheap steering wheel for that price. July 13, 200916 yr Thank you for your replies. The whole idea was based on the fact that I really don't sim enough to warrant spending
July 13, 200916 yr Failing the above, does utilising just the pedals from a Logitech wheel/pedals kit sound feasible, reasonable even? How could this be done, if at all? While the pedals can be used to control left / right brake, the miss the rudder action which is the most important.Equally, the steering wheel doesn't have elevator control so you can only control left/right (roll) but not up/down (pitch)So in my opinion, these are totally useless for flightsims. It's difficult to give advise but If I wanted to play both car racing sims and flight sims and had only 30-40 pounds to spend, I would buy a decent joystick with twist function and throttle. It would be reasonably suited for both but not optimal for either.Cheers,Allard. August 7, 200916 yr I play a lot of rFactor (For the racing nOObs around here :(, thats a racing game with lots of addons available for it) and I play FSX. I own a G25 and I bought that for rFactor. I use it for FSX aswell but the pedals are for braking the aircraft and the wheel is only used to pitch the aircraft (With the gear flippers) You cannot use the wheel as a yoke because of the reasons mentioned above. I will get a yoke or joystick pretty soon because this is rubbish, I cannot hand fly any craft right now and have to use AP all the time. But that will change in the near future.
