July 16, 200916 yr Greetings everyone,I have voxatc for FS9 and I also have four cepstral voices installed on my computer. The manual instructs me to use the default microsoft mike voice, but is there a way to make it use the cepstral voices? Thanks, Terry
July 17, 200916 yr Unfortunately VoxATC for FS9 appears to be the stepchild of the family, VoxATCX has much improved documentation. However to answer your question. DITCH Microsoft Mike and use one of your male Cepstal voices. Go to your Windows control panel/speech setup and set your Cepstal voice as the computer's default voice. VoxATC will then utilize your enhanced voice. While the FSX version supports four voices, 5 including the new 1st officer, the FS9 version can utilize only one voice. According to previous discussion with the developer the VoxATC engine modifies the pitch and speed of the one TSS voice to add some variety to ATC communication. Hope this helps, good luck.
July 17, 200916 yr Thank you for the reply, I changed it and I think I did notice a more natural sounding voice (Cepstral David). This is another question not related to the voices, but is there a way to remap the "zero (0)" button function (for the list of options, such as increase/decrease altitude, etc) to something else? I have FSPassengers and I use the zero key a lot for autopilot functions, like headings and altitudes. Again, thanks for the advice,Terry-

There are a number of utilities including the Indexer and the Joystick \ keyboard setup. You can change the assignment or map it to a joystick button.
July 17, 200916 yr I know how to do that, but the zero button is giving me hassles. The Zero button is for decreasing/increasing altitudes, and emergencies, which cannot be changed through the Keyboard/Joystick set up utility. Terry-
