Ultimate Terrain/Ground Environment Pro Question

Featured Replies

I installed Ground Environment Pro before I purchased Ultimate Terrain, so I then installed Ultimate Terrain, and then something weird keeps happening. I keep losing the majority of buildings in FS2004, and they are replaced with a flat image texture thing. When I uninstall Ultimate Terrain, my buildings come back. I don't know what the cause of this is but I want reinstall Ground Environment Pro, after installing Ultimate Terrain to see if it fixes my problem. The question I have is that I have made a lot (LOT) of textures already using GE Pro. If I reinstall, and save the textures somewhere, Will I be able to instantly reuse them instead of making them all over again because they take a hell of a long time to create and colorize. Help will be much appreciated, Thanks.

Philip, What you see has probably nothing to do with GE Pro.This lack of autogen is the result of Ultimate Terrain's night lamps being physically present all the time.Although you can't seen them by day, they are there. If you want to check it, go to the UTE configurator and uncheck night lighting. Then restart your FS and see if that's what you mean. However the night lighting is a great effect, so I see two ways to go around this problem.1. Max solution: When you're sure you're flying in the daytime only, uncheck the lights2. Opt solution: Use lights only to highways and main roads. That will give you lights but also more autogen buildings.Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot! Finally I can adjust this program to my liking. Really appreciated :)
