July 25, 200916 yr The default ATC tells me to turn the opposite direction from my destination. This only happens while using the default flight planner and I use waypoints. The aircraft I use is Posky 777. If anyone is willing to try, can you figure out if its happening to you aswell? Does this happen as you are leaving the departure airport or later in the flight? If it is just as you are starting your flight, then be aware that unless you fly over the first waypoint in your flightplan, then ATC will repeat and repeat and repeat the directive to turn to heading XXX. The heading given is not toward your destination but rather the heading from the departure A/P to the first waypoint. I always check my flightplans and if the first waypoint is near the airport (say within 5 Nm) then I delete that first waypoint. Sometimes they're so close that your airplane can't turn sharply enough to easily get to the waypoint.Oh, if it is later in the flight then we probably need more info to help.R-
July 25, 200916 yr Have a look at this thread on the flightsim.com forums:http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?t=199016If that is the same as you are experiencing, I have written a quite lengthy explanation there of why Flight Simulator does this, and how to deal with it.Hope that helps,John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
