August 8, 200916 yr Has anyone tried out the Alphasim C5 Galaxy built for FS9 in FSX and if so what was the result?ThanksGeorgeWorked okay for me but it's not DX10 compatible. I had it installed but never reinstalled it after reinstalling FSX a few months ago. As I recall there were texture issues with DX10 Preview checked but if you turn that off, there's no problem. It's a great aircraft with powerful sounds!
August 8, 200916 yr I have had the Alphasim C-5 in FSX for awhile. Overall it is okay for me. I mostly wanted this for the animation and hoped for more realistic sound. I put together a custom sounds from compiling several different freeware sound files and when using it in FS9 I had realistic transition from idle to full throttle, but in FSX the full throttle sound comes in too abruptly. I can live with it though. I am really hoping to see a C-5M for FSX. Good luck! Keith Guillory
