historic flightplan?

Featured Replies

Hello,I have ASA with FSX Acceleration on Vista 64.I have this programm since its release and I'm very satisfied with it...One question:Is it possible to generate a historic flight plan?I want to fly from EDDB (Berlin) to LEPA (Palma, Mallorca) with the weather from yesterday (8.8.2009).When I load the flightplan, the Metar it shows is always from today (Departure (EDDB): EDDB 090820Z 12007KT CAVOK 23/11 Q1019 NOSIGEDDB 090500Z 0906/1006 11009KT CAVOK BECMG 0918/0920 11004KT)flying is no problem, because I set it to "Force to Sim Time" and the weather is accurate (because I was flying this rout in real yesterday)But how can I file the FP for yesterday (or any other historical day)?Thank you very much...guenter

Thanks for answering...I have a screenie here:asadwo.jpgYou can see the date is set to 1st of February (german date format)Below is Departure at EDDB with 10th of monthTemperature is at 22 degree. In other words it is the metar from today...The enroute shows for BELID (EDBB) the first of the month, which would be correct, but isn't the temperature 22C (22/12)same as in the EDDB Metar?Could be that I misunderstand sth because I'm not 100% familiar with Metar reading. But the EDDB departure Metar is obvisually not from the 1st of february 2009The reported weather (Report) is correct. But can I be sure that the flightplan with its winds is also from february? The first line isn't because of 22C at february....Would be nice if you can enlighten me a little bit! ;-)Thank you!

HiI am having the same problem with historic flight plans as posted above. Yesterday I generated a plan in ASA for 8-7-09 historic. The flight plan weather came up as 8-9-09. So I tried the same thing with Active X with same results. This is the first time I experienced this in either program. very strange. I allso would like to thank the Hi Fi team for the excellent weather programs I have been enjoying through the years.Thank YouBob B

Hi All,The same question to both of you: Was FSX started, the date in FSX set to your historical date, and ASA refreshed? Thanks,

Thank you very much for the fast response....I just could speak for me, but I think Bobs problem would be solved, too ;-)I have missed the "refresh" buttonsEverything is working like charm, now.Just the little thing, that you have TWO refresh buttons...:If I load a new date or change to real weather, the refresh button at the Briefing page isn't working. You have to press the "main" refresh button and then the flightplan refresh buttonI possible, do you want to change this behave?Much better would be, if it is possible that the programm refreshes itself without the need to press any buttons...

Hi,The Refresh Button on the Briefing page is just to refresh the data for your plan. The main Refresh button refreshes the whole ASA system. ASA will automatically refresh if you want to wait until the next download time, but more users don't want to wait that long! Thanks,

Thanks Jim Sorry for the delay getting back. The refresh button on the breifing page did the trick. Goes to show it does not matter how long you own software there is allways a learning curve. A big thanks again for the excellent support and programs.Thank youBob B.
