August 12, 200916 yr I think it's a sound quality setting, perhaps related to sample rate (ie.. 44.1khz or 22khz) or bit length (24bits, 16bit, etc). From memory I believe FS9 had some radio buttons in the Sound settings page, to select 3 levels of sound quality, but these aren't in the FSX settings page. That entry in the CFG is probably the way those old options can be utilized.Try out changing it to '1' and see how your sound sounds!David
August 13, 200916 yr Author I remember those settings from FS9 and was wondering if that setting was the same, although only available in the fsx.cfg file. I'll try it and see what happens. Thanks,Mark
August 13, 200916 yr In FS9 0=Low, 1=Med, and 2=High quality sound in the cfg file. I assume it is the same for FSX.Randall
