I've sold a car and plan to use some of the $ to buy a new PC suitable for FSX (under the watchful eye of my wife, of course). I can't use all the money. She wouldn't be pleased.I see some very high-powered hardware being used by you experienced simmers. What is a reasonable price range to expect for adequate equipment? Should I be looking to build my own watercooled system with overclocked components and a robust power supply instead of buying something from mainstream (Gateway, Dell, HP, etc)? In general, what are the minimums (speed, brand, and capacity) for motherboard, processor, RAM, graphics card, and anything else I might need, and what combinations of components seem to work well together? Would you recommend starting with an XP or a Vista system, or going with the beta of Sys7?I'm still undecided between CH and Saitek for yoke, throttle, and pedals. Saitek seems to have solved their most glaring quality problems but there are still a few unhappy campers and I haven't had particularly good support from Saitek for my stick. With this in mind, does anyone have a current recommendation? It appears that many of you have not only yoke, throttle, and pedals... but also a joystick! Why would that be? Is one better for GA planes and the other one better for the big iron, or are both useful? Any other considerations/suggestions are gratefully accepted. I have the registered FSUIPC so I plan to use it to set up my system. Thanks, MH

Hi Mudhen.I use the yoke for aircraft that have a yoke and the joystick for aircraft that use a stick. I try to keep it as real as it gets. Again a plug for FSUIPC.Jim D.

Hello , I haven't CH products, so can't give you any feedback. But about Saitek , I have their Yoke/pedal and Joystick(X52 Pro). All connected to my PC and with registered version of FSUIPC I assigened Yoke to Boeing Fleet and joystick to Airbuses! I love them! :( Regards
