Could you explain how to load the ballast fuel. I am really having a tough time getting it right. perhaps give some examples. thanks.Peter Osborn

Well according to the AOM ballast fuel can only be located in; tank 2, aux tank, or the tail tank. Tank 2 is allowed to have up to 25,000lbs of ballast fuel. All or some of the fuel in the aux tank may be ballast, the tail tank cannot contain both usuable fuel and ballast fuel. The flight crew enters the amount and location of the ballast fuel in the FMS.Hope this helps.Kevin Wojtanek
