X-Plane 9 3D View

Featured Replies

I just watched some XP9 videos on YouTube. One used some great view options within the Cessna 172 cockpit that allowed full panning in all directions, and zoomed all the way out to allow full view of the interior including front and side windows. I was able to do this in FSX also. So far, I have tried different views myself, and like the one where the mouse movement allows complete panning, however I am unable to zoom out that far. It allows me to zoom in (using the - and = keys) really close but not out. I am still right up against the cockpit. Is thers another option I am missing that allows zooming out to take in more of the whole cockpit interior? Thanks. Tom

Maybe he was using TrackIR? I don't have X-Plane on this pc, however to move inside the cockpit there are specific keys. I don't remember them right now, but you can find a list of key commands in one of the "Joystick & Equipment" sub-screen.To zoom out more, simply go to "Rendering settings" and increase the "Field of view" value.Marco

In an X-Plane 3-D cockpit can move your head back and forward with the <page up> and <page down> keys. Also up/down/left/right with the cursor keys. I'm guessing that you'll be able to recreate the sort of thing you want with a combination of these :)Setanta
