Well guys,Just finished reinstalling FSX and all add-ons and programs, time for testing !My test area is at KJFK from FSDreamteam, noon time in summer, fair weather with FEX HD clouds, outside view toward terminal and tower; i use MyTraffic X at 50% both GA and commercial, global texture resolution at max, water at mid, autogen and scenery complexity at max, airport vehicules at mid, no road traffic (per UTX) and boats at 29%.No FSX.cfg tweak except wide aspect at true and TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=70.Previously, with the I7 920 at stock speed (nVidia 250 1gb at 1680x 1050), 6 to 7 fps when locked at 20 and 9-10 unlimited, In flight towards NY city (Aerosoft's Manhattan), 8-9 locked and 10-12 unlimited.On my Asus rampage Gene board, there is a nice feature called "Level Up", which basically overclock the CPU to an higher spec, like an I7 940 @ 2.93, I7 950 @ 3.06 and finally I7 965 @ 3.20; i have no idea if that utility changes other parameters than CPU speed but i was please to notice approximately 50% fps increase @3.20 ghz :( I know i have more in the bank if I overclock more so all and all, it was worth the extra money and effort for this new board :( Do you think that Affinity mask would be good ?
