June 7, 200322 yr Yes there are many deaf pilots in fact one of my last students before I began a career of corporate flying was deaf.The FAA even has (or had back then) a guide for instructors who had deaf students. A deaf person can get a private pilot certificate, and a commercial pilot certificate with limitations, where they can fly for operations, which does not require ATC radio communication. Ag pilots and a banner tow pilot come to mind
