Hi guys, i have a strange problem, at once i have black smoke when land a plane, it's with everyplane so very strange, how the hell do you fix this problem without re-installing whole fsx ? Hi a time ago i had the same issue with black square smoke and any smoke effect (contrails too)I fixed this repairing the fsx instalation and if you have the acceleration expansion pack installed repair it too.fsx dvd 1 into dvd drive start setup.exe and click en repair.Thats all.sorry but my english is not so good.

All that happened is that the fx_1.bmp file got deleted from your FSX/Effects/Texture folder. You can either try and get someone to email it to you, or do a repair. I would ask around for the file first.
