Can I mask off a section of Cloud9 landclass?

Featured Replies

I just bought the Asia/Africa landclass from Cloud9. The price was right, US$10, but when I started comparing it with the default landclass in Tmfviewer, the default seems to have more granularity in some areas. That's in Asia. In Africa, you can see right away that the Cloud9 landclass is more subtle. Is there a way I can mask off the bad parts of Cloud9 so that the default landclass is used instead? Thank you for any help.

Hi,No, that is not possible. Most likely there are multiple BGL files and you could not load the ones you don't like. But loading only a part of a BGL file it not possible.

If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done.

Thanks, Arno. Unfortunately, it is all one big BGL -- about the same size as the default landclass, 18 mb. Is there a tool I can use to chop off a section and resave the chopped BGL?

There's no tool to alter a landclass BGL.You can make a new landclass BGL to replace a section. But wouldn't it be eaasier to talk to Cloud9, and see if they can make a new landclass if it is wrong? Dick

Alas, Cloud9 has been dormant for some time.
