August 21, 200916 yr I've never posted pics of FSX so that I can show my fellow forum members some things. What is your recommendation on snapping pictures, and RESIZING them to be able to upload them to AVSIM. Is there a tutorial showing "how-to" do it correctly and easily?Stan
August 22, 200916 yr Try this:Hit V in FSX to take a screenshot. That will appear in the 'My Documents' folder on your computer, in the sub folder 'My Pictures', where you'll find a folder called 'Flight Simulator X Files' which stores your screenshots. By default they will be at your FSX resolution at probably 72 dpi. That puts them over the odds for the AVSIM screenshot forum, so to resize them easily, go to Photobucket.com and get an account there (free), then on your photobucket page, start a library and choose to upload a picture (navigate to that folder where your screenshot is and pick your screenshot), it'll take maybe 20-30 seconds to upload the pic. When it shows up, click on the thumbnail of it and you'll be taken to a bit where you can resize it, look at the top of the image and hover your mouse there and you'll see the resize option. Choose something like 'Large 640' which will put you in the AVSIM screenshot library limits. Now, go back yo your library page in Photobucket and underneath your pic you will see four text windows, click on the bottom-most one, and it will highlight the text in there. Hit Control+C (to copy that text) and then when you go to a forum post, hit Control+V (to paste the text). That will paste the image code for the pic into your forum post and you'll see some text confirming that which will say something along the lines of:.It is the IMG bit in square brackets that tells the forum to find and display that image at the location it is stored online, so on your post, you won't see that text, instead you will see the picture.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
