hi,My machine has been giving me this sound problem for a while and it doesent happen every time I fly but Im tired of it and want to fix it. The problem is sometimes all of a sudden my sound starts to stutter which causes the sim to stutter :-(. Heres what happened to me today I setup my flight with the pss 747(the problem happens with any airplane so its not the airplane thats the problem). When I start the engines the problem starts even with just one engine on and it gets worse with four engines on, massive stutters lowering my frame rates to like 4 fps. The problem goes away by pressing the Q key to turn off sound in fs2002. This leads me to believe the problem is my sound card... I dont know how I can fix the problem though as I just downloaded and installed the newest drivers and the problem is still there. thanksAndrewPS. I really need help! BTW my sound card is a Phillips acoustic edge 5.1 pci soundcard

No answer for you but I have a Soundblaster Live 5.1 with same problem so I guess the problem lies there. If you have Win XP (I don't) there is a fix on the Creative Labs site that may be of help?
