Heli Traffic landing spot info needed......

Featured Replies

I've read the manual & have it working but cannot get sole use of landing spots for scheduled traffic. When setting up Landing Spots the manual says this (Caps are mine) ; " Landing Spot Properties......To prevent the RANDOM traffic from using the landing spot, enter 0." I have BUT I've watched scheduled choppers on the spot with 90 mins of parking time move for a random landing heli. I've got 0 Movements, 30 Min. parking time, 90 Max. parking time for this spot, so I'm wondering if this is right? I've also seen RANDOM helis here when I thought I'd reserved it for a scheduled heli. The next para. down has "The Min. parking time and Max. parking time settings allow you to specify the minimum and maximum parking time, in minutes, for RANDOM traffic helicopters. Note that a parked helicopter may be forced to depart sooner than the setting here if another helicopter is about to land at this spot." I assume this refers to a spot for Random Traffic with gthe Use defaults box ticked? When defining Scheduled Traffic the manual has "The departure delay determines the amount of time the helicopter spends parked at the departure point. Note that it may be forced to depart early if another helicopter needs to use the landing spot." I again assume this means other scheduled traffic using the same landing spot? I've so far only set up sole use landing spots for scheluded traffic & can't figure out why random helis are using these spots? Can anyone enlighten me? :( Thanks!

May I suggest you post your question on the Hel Traffic forum at Flight1. The authors of the program should be able to assist you there.http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=30As for me, I do not run Random and Scheduled together. That is probably because I like to fly in specific areas and just need Scheduled Heli flights at those airports I regularily visit.Hope that helps.

Hi Dave. I have but not a lot of interest there I'm afraid so I thought I'd try elsewhere for some insight.Checking other posts gives me the impression of not a lot of support from that site.
