August 25, 200916 yr Since going to 5.61 I have some serious problems running this software. I can't get the indexer to complete. It hangs every time, but not always on the same file. The programme still runs, but I have not seen an a.i. aircraft since the upgrade. I use project a.i. aircraft. I can hear some of them on the radio, but there are none at the airports. I have seen other posts about both these problems, but no solutions. I guess I can try 5.63 -- I see that it is intended to address isues with the indexer. On a more positive note, vectoring was greatly improved in 5.61.
August 26, 200916 yr Well, 5.63 fixed the indexer. I also saw one a.i. aircraft in the air, but none at the airports. Possibly this is a REX issue. I know certain textures in some addon scenery will make project a.i. aircraft disappear.
August 27, 200916 yr I have now brought traffic back to the airports simply by increasing the traffic volume slider in vox. It seems you need it significantly higher than in previous versions.
August 30, 200916 yr I have now brought traffic back to the airports simply by increasing the traffic volume slider in vox. It seems you need it significantly higher than in previous versions.Hi Michael,I see that you fixed your AI aircraft issue. I still have zero AI even after setting the slider to 100%. Ran the indexer a few times also. WOAI installer shows thirty-seven airlines installed. Any other suggestions? Also curious about your REX comment. I recently installed REX2 and did the VoxATC 5.63 update so I am not sure just what could be causing this problem. For the VoxATC developer: Any update news on the VoxATC-X/REX2 flight plan compatibility?
August 31, 200916 yr Read a post in the REX site forum that the AI and altimeter setting issues are due to a problem in VoxATC. A fix is in testing.
September 15, 200916 yr I haven't had time for FSX recently, so I can't help you with the WOAI traffic issue. I just moved the traffic slider in the Voxatc interface and started a new flight and there was traffic at the gates and I haven't had time for a flight since. I know with FlyTampa sceneries, certain textures used in the airports prevent FS9 World of A.I. planes from showing up in FSX while actually present at the add-on scenery airport and I did wonder if REX was doing something similar. But it seems that is not the case, as I did bring the a.i. back.
September 17, 200916 yr OK, I have now figured this out. It has nothing to do with the traffic slider. It is a Rex 2.0 / Voxatc compatability problem. If you load the Rex weather engine before you start Vox, you will not get traffic at the airports. But if you start Vox first and then initiate the Rex weather engine, all is well.
September 17, 200916 yr I shouldn't have said "all is well" as it turns out. I get traffic at the departure airport using the above technique, but nothing at the arrival airport.
