August 27, 200916 yr I have run into some trouble with a few of Holger Sandmann and Jon Patch's fine sceneries. I am using Victoria+, Vancouver+, North Cascades, along with Ultimate Terrain USA and all of the available patches I can find to make them compatible with each other. But I am still getting double shorelines in and around these sceneries. The entire area of Vancouver has double shorelines and the San Juan Islands and most of northern Washington has double shorelines that begin just north of Seattle. Any suggestions? Thanks to all
August 28, 200916 yr I too had the same issue with Victoria+ and Vancouver Island shorelines showing up as double. Turns out it was Harvey Jenszen's 38 mesh landclass for eastern Vancouver Island that came with the CYQQ Comox airport addon that was the issue. Removed the landclass and the problem went away. This is Holger and Jon's support forum for their freeware: Holger and Jon's freeware support forumYou can find the support forums for their payware here:Simflight forum
August 28, 200916 yr Thanks for the suggestion I thought that might be the problem as I had vaguely remembered downloading a similar file but after searching my Addons folder thoroughly I could not find any landclass files. Maybe a problem with UT or another addon?
August 28, 200916 yr I had a similar situation during a fresh reinstall this past weekend; only difference was UT.. I'm using Canada Roads and EVI shorlines instead. Taking off from Victoria toward Nanaimo, I kept seeing rings of shoreline in the water; also roads extending out into the water. I ensured all the default road files were removed per the readme, so what could be the problem? Well, I'm running the FSG mesh, which I keep at the top of the library menu with the North Cascades above that. After several iterations of scenery library shuffling, I discovered that placing the North Cascades scenery folder beneath the others in question, solved the problem (using library menu, not config file). Later, I discovered during a flight from KPDX, that it was doing the same thing to the Columbia River Gorge scenery, so I moved it down the library list again, and all is well. So basically, try keeping the North Cascades folder at the very bottom of all the other Northwest sceneries in the library menu. Those are some fantastic sceneries btw, and a beautiful place to fly; I hope you get it sorted soon.
August 29, 200916 yr Thank you so much for the advice! I will try moving down Northern Cascades to see the effect it has but I have a feeling this may have solved it once and for all. I can't wait to get back to flying in this great detailed area! Thanks!
