September 6, 200916 yr Greetings all,In the MD11 Flight crew operating manual (FCOM), under the "normal procedures" section, there's a detailed checklist, starting with exterior observations and going into detail on each item. I also have the laminated checklist cards, but it doesn't list nearly as much as what's in the FCOM. Does anyone have an easy to read version of everything listed in the normal procedures section? For sim purposes, some of the items can be eliminated (outside observations and circuit breakers, for example). If not, I'll try to create one myself. Many thanks,Ron P. Ron Priever
September 6, 200916 yr The detailed "checklist" you describe isn't a checklist at all. It's called a flow, and lists the order in which the items should be accomplished. The laminated card has the actual checklist. Checklists are short, concise and usually fit on a single page. Make them too long, and people stop using them. If you still need to use the flow to get through a flight, not a problem. It means you need to learn more about the aircraft before taking it flying online etc.Paul
