September 7, 200916 yr After last nights flight I ran into a never before seen problem w/ FS9 views, PLZ see the attached. As you can see I now have the ceiling of the aircraft instead of rwy in front of me. I deleted FS9 CFG w/ no luck and checked FSUIPC w/ no luck. It is as though my view is locked up somehow and will not return to normal. The reason I see the cockpit here is because I have gone to FS menu and selected instrument panel. When I first start up FS9 my instrument panel is missing and all I see is the upper portion of the acrft cockpit ceiling...(this w/ all acrft). If I hold down my FSUIPC assigned, View reset key cmd, all looks normal......release the key and it goes back to the problem view.Anyone have some ideas here as to what I should be looking for, for a fix? Thank You...Vince
September 7, 200916 yr A long shot.....but..Did you by chance save a flight with that view and make it the default flight? If so, try setting up a new flight with the corrected view, save it and make it the default flight (an option on the save screen). Many settings in the default flight are passed on to whatever aircraft you then select to fly.

September 8, 200916 yr David, Thank you for your reply, but I did not save a flight, but I will attempt saving a new flight and see if anything happens. VBNothing changed.....when FS9 loads I have the normal 2D view for just a second and then the problem view occurs...I am really stumped on this.

September 8, 200916 yr Hello,Hardware prob ? (keyboard - Joystick or yoke)Try disconnect (or disable) periphericals one by one and test.Regards.Gus.Gus, after some hours I think it may be my Saitek yoke/throttles...somehow a profile from that system(s) has been loaded. If I disconnect the Saitek stuff all appears to be fine....when I hook it all back up the problem surfaces once again. I am trying to find out where this may be hiding in my system...I removed the Saitek program via control panel (add remove programs) however that did not solve the problem once I reloaded the yoke and second throttle. There must be a profile in there somewhere......if I can get it completely removed and start all over I may be back in business. I have never been able to figure out how the programing of the Saitek works so I have always used FSUIPC. I did open the program last night but there is nothing in it but somehow this Saitek profiler has caused a conflict since I opened it. Still confused VB
September 8, 200916 yr Hello,I don't use the Saitek yoke combo but instead .. the X52 Pro HOTAS.Anyways .. on my install .. any profile is saved under the Saitek folder .. in a subfolder named Software.Files are ****.datI can assume it's the same for the yoke combo. Are you sure you deleted the profiles (I'm not sure but when you deinstall the Saitek software I think it's a possibility to keep the profiles ... it's longtime ago I performed a desinstallation)Or mabe I suspect is a unvoluntary command from one of your Saitek stuff .. caused by a technical deffect on a button or any.Certainly if the phenomena suddenly occured.Do you can disconnect some parts of the combo .. for maybe isolate the culprit? .. yoke or the differents modules....I suppose also .. the yoke combo have a GUI for calibrate or visual all the commands.. and maybe you will seen there some blinking light of a button .. etc..You can also (when the Saitek thingy is activated) check with the Notepad as some commands are keyboard keys and so you can write in the Notepad with the Saitek buttons .. etc :)Regards.Gus.
September 8, 200916 yr Saitek has uninstall instructions on their web site and it does work. I only use the drivers and nothing else for my X52 Pro. Make sure you remove the OEM.INF file that is suggested in the Saitek instructions otherwise Windows see it for a reinstall. Also, you don't think your joy stick has bit the dust, do you?Markhttp://www.saitek.com/uk/supp/saitekUninstall.htm
