September 8, 200916 yr In my long-time FS career, I've always been taught that the Landing lights must be turned off when climbing through 10K ft; and vis-versa when descending through 10K ft.If I understand it correctly, the landing lights on this bird are on the nose-gear (just above the taxi light). So if this is true, in the real world pilots would leave the landing lights on even with the nose gear raised up after takeoff? That seems kind'a silly... :( I would be most interested in hearing how this works in RW OPS.Thanks, Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
September 8, 200916 yr Al,Landing lights are turned off after the wheels are in the wells on the J41, so instead you use the "conspicuity lights" in the manner you described. Look for the CONSPIC switch on the overhead.Regards,Nick

Now I just have to create a JS-41 profile in FlightSim Flight Keeper so I don't get pinged in the critique for having the landing lights off below 10K ft. Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
