Autopilot (js41)

i think the only way to disconnect the AP is by manually adjusting the trim or actually turning it off. Is it possible that your control stick or something else is manually adjusting the trim due to poor callibration? Also, is the trim power switch for the AP turned on?

am i really the only one with this problem ?
You are not alone. I have the same problem. Most of mine occur during the initial climb. I'm using both Go-Flight and PFC Throttle quadrant. Bob..

Tristan,Check your controller calibration. The AP will turn off if you move the joystick, and if you're not moving it, then it's likely either out of calibration or is sending control spikes.

i just said that!!! :(

Actually, what you said was, "the only way to disconnect the AP is by manually adjusting the trim or actually turning it off." Not quite correct. If you move your joystick, the AP will disconnect.Your suggestion to recalibrate was a good one, just not for the right reason. :-)

ok, power is on ...heheand i thought my stick is well calibrated. But what i really think is, the SPIKES are there....my X52 is not the youngest anymore, with more than 2000 Flighthours.I ll chack that, and i ll write my feedback on that here soon.Tristan

I have to move my joystick quite a lot before it disconnects AP.

Hi guys! Same problem here. The autopilot disconnected about 10 times on the tutorial flight.I could not see anything wrong that would have caused it.Never had any problem with joystick spikes before on any other plane. Not sure what the cause is but I thought it might be the heavy turbulence. It seemed pretty rough for most of the flight.
