767 and Windows Vista

Featured Replies

Hi,I recently moved over to Windows Vista. Prior to this I was running the LVLD763 with the GF MCP and all was working perfectly. Now I have moved over to a Vista machine and even with latest drivers and ensuring that LVLD is selected in the config manager it still when I start the sim does not seem to want to work.Anyone had anything similar to this? Thanks in advanceLiam

Hi,I have left the same post on the General discussion part of the forum you recomended which states "no technical support" available within. Unfortunately the forums that do give FS9 support for registered owners like myself, is locked. I have gone through the registration process and can see no mention in reference to validating registration of LVLD 767 copies. So until the post is either moved, the forum unlocked or you could kindly give guideance of how to access the locked areas I will have to post here, apologies but out of my hands!Back to the originl topic, anyone shed any light? RegardsLiam Fassam

Liam,I responded to your question with instructions on how to register. They are self-explantory.Here they are here:As most of you may know, the technical support (Licensed Member) area will be for purchasers, and the general area for everyone. To enter the "Licensed Member" area, you will need to simply follow the instructions on the page below.http://www.leveldsim.com/forumreg.htmWhen you click on the link, this is the information that will display:Registering Your Level-D Simulations Product for Support AccessThis product requires special registration in order to gain access to technical support through the web forums. The registration process is very easy! Simply follow these instructions...Locate your Proof of Purchase Certificate number. This is different than your regular order number. On Download Versions:Check in the C:\Flight One Software folder. The file name to look for is Proof_of_Purchase_lvld67.htm. This certificate number is also listed in the email receipt you should have gotten right after your purchase. Finally, if you lost both the above, simply use our automated customer service area to get your certificate emailed to you.For CD ROM Versions:Check the product manual for a printed number. It will have 2 parts, with a dash in the middle.Next, make sure you are registered in the Level-D Simulations Forum. You must be a registered forum member before you can successfully register here. Finally, make sure you enter your information correctly. If all information matches our records, you should get immediate access to the support areas.NO ACCESS? If you are still having problems accessing the forum, submit a ticket here: http://www.flight1.com/ticket.aspNot sure why you didn't just post the problem in the Level-D General Forum...

Having looked around for problems with the 767 and Vista / Windows before committing to purchase one of the things that has put me off buying the product is the manner in which support is delivered with people saying the sign up process is convoluted etc , this post being typical. To the OP ( only ) did you get your problem resolved in the end ?

Yes, the situation was resolved. Any VISTA issues with the 767 (or any add-on product) are resolved by visiting and understanding the Flight1 VISTA FAQ... http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=vistaThe registration process is NOT convoluted. Without the protection the private forum affords the developers and Flight1 would lose money and advanced products like the 767 would cease to exist. You wouldn't want that, would you?
