2 Engine Throttle Control

Featured Replies

I have been useing CH Yoke with FSX for a number of years. Recently, When I fly a 2-engine aircraft, the throttle does not maintain an even MAP balance . They will both go evenly to take-off power, but when retarded there will be a 4 or 5 inch difference. Since this happens with my older Yoke and the newer Eclipse, I would assume that the problem is not in the hardware. What have I done to cause this?Thank you for any assistance, Bob

If you are trying to fly a twin with a configuration of your yoke as a single-engined aircraft, I believe you will find that the other trottle in not mapped properly. Try establishing two different configurations - one for a single and one for a twin. Make sure you use the Windows joystick configuration program accessed through the control panel. Many hardware components have their own config software but MS (and their infinite wisdom) have put some kind of requirement that you also have to use their config program. It can't hurt anyway.Another thing you can try is get FSUIPC. This utility allows you to specifically configure separate throttles for single and multi-engined aircraft.fb

Thank you for the response. Since I have had no trouble in the past controlling twins useing the CH Yoke, with single throttle lever, I can only assume that the problem is associated with a new computer, reinstalling FSX and switching to ECLIPSE controller. Although I have also had FSUIPC for many years, and have read the instructions every which way except inside out, I am not really bright enough to know what I am doing. In other words, until now, I don't believe that FSUIPC had any control over my throttle assignment. However, after a good bit of trial and error, with FSUIPC and FSX, I have the throttles back on track (not really knowing what I was doing). Now, my current problem is how to program buttons in the center of the ECLIPSE wheel. No instructions came with it and I have been unable to locate any help at CH Products. What are the buttons and switch for, and can the lights be turned of when the Yoke and FSX are not in use. Thanks again for you assistance - much appreciated.Bob
