How to back up AFCAD files?

Featured Replies

I would like to know how to back up the original AFCAD files for the default airports in FS2002. I found a AFCAD for KISP airport (here at avsim) but if I don't like the results of the new AFCAD I would lke to go back to the original one. How do I go about doing this.

Here's what I do:In my AFCAD folder, I created a sub-folder named "Original Airports."Before installing any AFCAD files, I open the orginal file in AFCAD, then I go to FileExport Airport and choose the option to save the file in the Original Airports folder. Then I do a FileImport Airport and install the new AFCAD file. This way, if I run into a problem I can easily restore the original file.

Where in the FS2002 folders do I find the original airport files?

Using v. 1.4 or higher of AFCAD...- From the FILE menu choose: Catalog/Delete/Restore Airports- A pop up window appears. From that window you can choose to remove new installs, restore old airports, etc.- Josh[div align=center][link:www.jetdoc.com/STO/]Visit The Bookstore & Gift Shoppe][/b

Thanks Josh :-)

Never mind. :-)
