June 18, 200322 yr Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to convert CFS3 aircraft for use in FS2002? Are there any tutorials or articles about this.I have had fair success in using CFS2 planes in FS2002 by making some minor adjustments to the aircraft and panel cfg files.Regarding this, occasionaly the gun sight in a CFS2 plane's virtual cockpit will display as an opaque square in FS2002. Is there a fix for this?Cheers, flyfish
June 18, 200322 yr I don't thing the CFS3 planes will work, looks like a different file structure as opposed to CFS2 which is almost identical to FS2002. The texture for the gunsite is in the main texture folder for CFS2, I think you just need to copy it over to the texture folder for FS2002 and it will work.Regards, Michaelhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com Best, Michael KDFW
June 18, 200322 yr There is a CFS2/FS2002 conversion of the Ju-88's from the CFS3 SDK (as per the readme file in the download) available at Simviation --> these models are superb & well worth the download. Hope that helps!
June 18, 200322 yr Author There's another article about it here: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/howto/cfs2fs02.htmLet me know how it works. I'm think of adding some of these as soon as I finish installing the other 30 or so downloads still waiting to be installed.
