September 28, 200916 yr This may be old news for some? Well it seems as if the Eric, developer of the WILCO Airbus, has released an update to allow the panel to work with a hardware MCDU Included are "many upgrades that improve the global quality of the Airbus aircrafts". All yours for only 95 euro.Although some of the "upgrades" are novel, ( http://emarciano.free.fr/En/index.htm ) looking at most of them it seems like they should have been there to begin with. Of course a lot of the price is related to making the hardware work I'm sure, but, it seems to me as if a civil thing to do would to offer the upgrade portions at a price something far less than roughly cost of the two Airbus series combined. I wish I could afford the hardware MCDU (one in question is 1995 euro as far as I can find ! :( )feelthere is of course denying they have anything to do with the aircraft, it belongs to WILCO and don't want to be involved. (Unless your praising it, then they want the credit). Joe Lorenc
September 28, 200916 yr Well,I wonder.Reading about all the fixed items makes me indeed wonder if the pricetag is worth it.It would be for me if the airbusses would become 64bit compatible. In their present state, I can't use them on my Vista 64bit OS. They fly alright but when I end a flight, they crash (and I mean the program... not the plane)Luc Brusselmans

I do not have a lot of time in them since moving on to FSX, but no crashes when I have flown them. I would hope that the "upgrades" could be offered for $30 give or take - I'd try it for that price. FT did add on their site they have no knowledge of what was done, I wonder if WILCO even knows.Joe Joe Lorenc
October 4, 200916 yr :( Pullleeeeze.......Wilco's Airbus stuff is awful in FSX. Their panels and guages look like bitmaps from 10 years ago and what sort of a FMC is that? Not to mention that you get an FR hit twice as much as Captain Sim's products for less clarity. The E jets are better, but Wilco OWES their customers better than this. :(

FBW? Auto-trim? This thing flies like a Boeing with an identity problem. That Boeing style FDE is good until the auto trim remembers that "Hey! I'm supposed to be an Airbus!" and trims me right into the ground on final approach...I do however like the E-jets. Except for the skin deep system modelling. And that awful glareshield texture. And the tiny unreadable panel writing. And the stone-age FMC.Come to think of it, I don't like the E-jets. :(
