Livery Add-On Error

Featured Replies

I have the following add-ons in FSX Deluxe: 737PIC, Call1.1, Aviation & Mission, Wilco Fleet CRJ2004. My OS is XP Pro. When I start FSX now, I'm getting an error message that says: "There are multiple objects with the same title name. They must have unique title names. FeelThere - CRJ200 - United Express SkyWest SimObjects\Airplanes\feelThere CRJ200." When I close this error message, one more pops up that says the same thing. When I close that one, everything works fine, but it is annoying to have to close these popups whenever I start FSX. Can this problem be resolved by editing the Aircraft.cfg file. and if it can how do I open the cfg file in XP Pro? Which lines need to be changed and how should the change be worded? I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions. Lightspeed,Use Notepad to open the aircraft.cfg (or sim.cfg depending on the developer) in the folder SimObjects\Airplanes\feelThere CRJ200.Never use Wordpad, MS Works, MS Word or any wordprocessor to edit.Sounds like you have the same name duplicated two times. At the beginning of each FLTSIM section you'll see a "Title=" lineYou can change each duplicated line by simply adding a unique letter or number to the end of each duplicate.Save the file.

mgbmike:Your solution worked like a charm with the following exception: I had to change the [sim=], [ui_type=], [description=] lines also. I greatly appreciate your help. You don't know how much trouble you have saved me. I originally emailed the tech support at Wilco Publishing and they wanted me to uninstall everything including FSX and then reinstall. Apparently the problem occurred, according to them, when I installed their United Express SkyWest Livery add-on. They said, I should have manually removed the livery for the CRJ that installs with Wilco Fleet CRJ2004. You, my friend are a genius; you know more about troubleshooting their add-on than they do. They should fire their troubleshooter and hire you. Thanks again.Lightspeed :(

No problem Lightspeed. We are all here to learn and help each other.
