September 28, 200916 yr Hello everybody, thanks for taking the time to read this post. My topic is concerning overspeeding in FSX (and fs9 for that matter). Im not an amateur flight simmer or anything, matter of fact i have well over 1500 hours logged on ivao, but one thing I have noticed is sometimes while flying these long hauls my aircraft will some times overspeed (due to weather updates that change the wind speeds and direction i believe). This can be particularly annoying when you dont catch the overspeed fast enough and your plane overstresses, or if you are trying to log a flight with FSpassengers. Is there a way to minimize this from happening. Thanks in advance.-Tito
September 28, 200916 yr The easiest way is to disable "AIRCRAFT STRESS CAUSES DAMAGE" in the Realism settings. The issue is caused by harsh transitions when you fly from weather cell to weather cell. Sometimes the boundaries of the cells can be very abrupt, especially with winds aloft. You can also pay for the full version of FSUIPC, which will give you stronger control over the weather cells. There are a couple of other payware environmental add-ons you can get that may help as well. Jeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM
