Hi, i think i made a mistake by double posting and erased the wrong one :( !I already post this on "Hardware- mobo,ram etc" forum yesterday without reply unfortunately, (I added some more infos from the original) maybe it was not the correct forum so here it goes:Hello all,2days ago i flew the Feelthere ERJ from CYUL to KFLL (FSDreamteam); started at dusk so arrived at night. i used ASA and Radar Contact on my client PC.All along the flight, spot view shown clear and crisp ground detail in between clouds, right up to 3000' when i was vectored west from the coast to land on 9R; the problem is, on final, i could see the runway lights but no airport buildings ?! after landing and ending FSPassengers on the taxiway, i restarted FSX and position myself at the gate at KFLL and sure enough, buildings were there with FPS at 12-15 locked at 20.Also, might be relevant to mention that, on others flights when i ended the FSPassengers flight and came back to the plane to start another journey, more often than not the screen would turn black or all the graphics would be distorted ?! this happens mainly at night, also sometimes when i access map in flight and try to come back inside the plane....sometime by going to window mode and back to full screen a couple of times helped...I also use GEX, UTX Can and USA (With lights at intersection only), road traffic at 9%, MyTrafficX at 59%, autogen at dense, water at 2X mid, at 1680 X 1050 resolution, with Nhancer set per NickN instructions, fsx on it's own 640GB drive, defrag with O&O.My PC is an HP Elite e9180f which i replaced the Motherboard with an Asus Rampage II Gene with an I7 920 overclocked to 3.2 ghz (with Asus's Turbo V feature), 9gb of DDR3 10700 memory at 1333mhz and an nVidia 250GTS with 1gb dedicated memory with 182.50 drivers. when in flight, cpu temps are around 65 degrees Celsius.Sorry for the long post but my question is this :Is it a memory issue (bad quality or bad timing ? ) or the 250GTS graphic card not powerful enough? (might try my 8800GTX just for fun...)thanks in advance for the tips Alain from Montreal

Update: Tried a quick flight from KJFK to KFFL at night, clear skies with the Flight1 Mustang; at FL 240, when trying to switch views, again black screen...minimized, back to full screen a few times and once did the graphics came back altough the aircraft was missing parts ? i shut FSX down without regaining full graphics...Before the flight I also tried 6gb kit (3 stick of 2gb) of new Kingston memory to replace the Hynix that came with it but same story... Is it normal that CPUZ show the 6gb but at 667mhz instead of 1333 ?Moderators, if this post is not in the right forum, please advise me, thank you !Alain from Montreal

I saw the disappearing buildings thing the other night at KHPN. I think I'm using an addon airport there. I think it has to do with missing night textures for the buildings, which is odd, because I think the buildings were all default FSX objects.I'm not sure how to fix it at the moment.I assume I'll have to figure out what textures the buildings are using, and then create night textures for them.

Thanks for responding Flyingscool;Yesterday i bought a Gigabyte nVidia 285GTX and in the same flight, problem solved so far, buildings were there, going to map and back didn't distorded the graphics, will try again tonight with Flight1 Mustang..I was a little surprised to not gain a single fps from the 250GTS but the extra smoothness with the 285GTX is worth it :(

Well, that's interesting, maybe my machine didn't have the graphics space to swap the textures when night came. Interesting thing was, in top down view I could see the buildings, but not in any other views.

Just an update :Fixed the problem, i bought OCZ high performance 1600mhz 6gb kit replacing the kingston 1333mhz; the latency of the OCZ are 7-7-7 wich are right on what NickN is prescribing, Thank you Sir !My I7 920 is now overclock at 3.61, i will try to raise it slowly at 3.8-4.0 :(I'm having fun....Alain from Montreal
