The two outer runways (furthest from the terminal building) are used for arrivals from the North/South the 2 inner used for departures. So if you're departing to the North, say to KSEA, you'll get the closest inner runway the direction you're going. Sounds confusing, but sure looks neat. And of course, you can request a different runway when you get your taxi clearance at the gate.":-jumpy
