October 7, 200916 yr I guess my brain is too old to understand the manual. Does the VNAV function actually work in the JS41? I understand there's no auto-throttle but will the plane change altitudes on it's own or does the FMS just "indicate" where/when it should be done?Thanx :) George Fisher FS Economy - Gives You a Reason to Fly Virtually
October 7, 200916 yr Advises when a vertical deviation is coming up that's all, it leaves the pilot to change the altitudes; purely am advisory VNAV.I just open the vnav page in the fms and look to the 'probable' altitude while fiddling slightly with the throttle to get to the correct altitude... remember to throttle back up when level too.No autothrottle as I found to my bad habit of putting the throttle to idle after climb - sure is a wake up call lol.John Ellison
