JS41 - Spoilers

Featured Replies

Not sure what happened to earlier post. Anyway, I landed (with spoilers armed at the dep airport). The spoilers deployed - as they should. Even after powering DOWN the a/c according to the checklist. The spoilers refused to go down. I wanted to make a quick turn-around and fly back. So, I went through the routine of firing up the turbines. No problem. The spoilers were still UP - from the outside view.I taxied anyway to the departure rwy. And took off... clearly it wouldn't be done in the real world. But this is a SIM... right?I got the HORN all through roll and lift off. The horn stopped after LIFT. Then came the "Positive rate of climb". So, I retracted the gears - OK. At about 2000' I retracted the flaps - OK. The spoilers are still UP.Observation: The spoilers respond in a flapping manner - without resetting - by "Shift + /"So, this isn't a user problem. I think there is something (internal) that doesn't allow the spoilers to reset... at least not all the time. 'Cause it worked - as expected - a couple times before.Any top-level suggestions? Thanks,Keithps: see other post about loosing all voice comms in this JS41

Thanks for your siggy. The spoilers fail to retract in some situations. This is an issue that is being addressed in the upcoming Service Pack 1 for the PMDG J41.

Thanks Vin. I thought I was performing the classic "Looser (user) Error". LOL I await the SP1.Remember... all is NOT bad with this product. In fact... it's all the reason to STAY in the cockpit. Shamelessely, I'd like you to add me to the Beta Testers (list) as I do a pretty decent amount of flying... now that I'm retired from Software Engineering. The next 'situation' I have to track down is why I am correctly configured for some flights and NOT for others... after following the same preflight procedures.Well, I'm off to fly the return leg EDDC-EGPH.C'ya,Keith
