Has anyone ever seen this. I have no fsx atc sound, everything else works. it was all working perfectly for the longest time but it stoppedI am running fsx,vista 64,with all service packs etcInterestingly , it all worked well until about a week ago.As a first step can i try deleting the fsx.cfg file, will it rebuild or does someone have another ideaOne other clue, I have level-d installed but the checkbox for voices are greyed out and the cockpit crew sounds are not working.I would point out however that level-d was installed ages ago and it worked perfectlythoughts??Peter

Open FSX and look at the sound menu. Make sure there are allocations to the correct sound device for the ATC, and makes sure you have an allocated `voice` for it!

When I had my new system on the test bench, with 2 speakers hooked up, ATC was okay. When I installed it on my desk and hooked up my 5.1 surround system to on-board sound, I lost the radios. I went to Best Buy and bought a sound card. Before I installed it, I checked all my settings and noticed only my front speakers would test. During checks I noticed my speaker control panel was set to Stereo X2. Set it to 6 Ch Direct and all speakers tested. Checked FSX and my radios worked. Put the card in the closet now that the on-board sound is working okay.Make sure settings are correct for your system and that all speakers will test.
