October 18, 200916 yr On startup some aircraft [both default & addons] either won't start automatically or manually [cold & dark?]. How can i select engines to start in either way to my choosing?
October 18, 200916 yr Well if they the engines aren't started on default planes at start-up, that means you saved a default flight to have the engines shut off. To fix that, just save a default flight in whatever state you want. (recommanded only to save default flights with the default C172).If we're talking about payware planes, you may have to open up a config program for the particular plane and select 'cold and dark' or engines running. As for engines not starting period, it can be a number of things. Make sure you follow the check list properly for each plane. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |

I had tried to follow the standard procedure but failed until i saved the flight & selected airport & then opened "Select a Flight', selected the flight i had just saved & then ticked the box "Make This The Default Flight" & Voila!!! The aircraft with the "cold & dark" startup problem turned out to be a corrupted download.
