How to make ADF unreliable during turns

Featured Replies

HiI was wondering if there is some kind of addon or setting that makes the ADF indications more realistic for GA aircraft. Currently the ADF shows 100% correct during all turns, and uncoordinated flight. Is there some way to add the unreliable indications during turns to the ADF needle? Thanks in advance!Regards,Rasmus

Hi,If it is a compiled gauge (.gau) then there is nothing you can do.If it is an XML gauge (.cab or an XML file in a folder) then you could edit the XML code by adding a test - if the plane is banked, add/subtract a pseudo-random amount to the needle's heading (making it unreliable).Of course, you would need to read the Panels SDK and learn XML programming...Hope this helps,

If I recall correctly Reality-XP has a set of NAV gauges (incl. ADF) which simulates (bad) ADF reception. Before considering, read the specs because I'm not 100% sure.
