October 21, 200916 yr Hello to everyone,Recently my older Nvidia 8800 GT has dead, due to artifacts (probably a vram failure), and I am very frustrated, because this card always has been an excellent option to run FSX a low resolution with very good fps. I have a Core2Quad 6600 running at 3.2 GHZ, with 4 GB RAM and Windows 7 x64, getting beetwen 20-30 fps with very high details (using FPS Limiter and DirectX 9).Now I am searching a cheap video card to move FSX with high details at 1440x900 resolution. Excellent card, and probably fits your budget nicely.Yes, it could be a good solution, but think that it isn`t easy to found such card at good prize, or almost below the prize of a new card. A GTS 250 or HD 4770 is a better general solution for gaming (not only FSX), and probably costs the same that a 8800 GTS from eBay o new from a dealer.
October 21, 200916 yr Author Sincerely, viewing the spectacular results from new ATI 5XXX series, I think the best solution is to get a new ATI 5750 ot 5770. Good powerful, good prize and very low power supply requirements. :( I
