October 23, 200916 yr Commercial Member This is probably something stupid I have overlooked, but I cant get one of the disks on my new PC to show up in the "my computer" screen. It shows up if you go to disk management and is recorded as disk 3, healthy NFTS partition etc and also shows up in Acronis. But not in my computer. I formatted it from disk management when installed. Can anyone help?cheers, Mark
October 24, 200916 yr I'm not hardware expert, but try this.Is the disk listed in Windows Device Manager under Disk drives? If it is - reboot your system and your drive should visible again. If not try to scan for hardware changes in the Device Manager. Check your BIOS settings for that drive if this doesn't work.
October 30, 200916 yr Author Commercial Member Hey Ulf, thanks for this, I have been away for a few days until wednesday. I had a look last night and found the problem, I had not allocated a drive letter..... D'oh!!!! Thank you for the concern. Best, Mark
October 30, 200916 yr I was curious on what caused your problem. I had a problem with my old Vista 32 setup. Some times one of my disks would vanish from Explorer. A quick logoff and logon in Vista would make it visible again. It happened a few times and I never found the cause.
