Optimum Scenery Library Cache size?

Featured Replies

Hi, all. What should be the cache size for the scenery library? I had it at 100.The reason I'm asking is because I was flying in the DC area (going to DCA), but every few seconds (even at the airport), I get the message that SCENERY LIBRARY NOT FOUND. I checked BALTIMORE in the Scenery Library, but I still get the message. Do I also need to restart the sim? Thanks.Steven

Hey Steven,Are you using an add-on scenery area for DCA? I got the exact same message as you right after I loaded up Shez's DCA scenery. If you just hit enter, the message will eventually stop popping up. I think it may take around 3 or 4 times before it stops.Your scenery cache file size will only have an impact if you have scenery you're running off your CD. If you did a full, complete install of Flight Sim, changing that value will have no effect.Hope this helps!!Mikehttp://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg

Hi, Mike. No, I'm not using add-on scenery. I'm using the default scenery. Must be a bug or something with the FS Scenery. I checked BALTIMORE because I thought it was because of that, but I got the same thing. Thanks for the answer about the cache size.I guess I'll stop flying to DCA (no offense to those that love that airport :)).Steven
