Welcome back Dougal. So yes the PMDG J41 is out and most people rave about it. I don't have it but I tried it out at my friend's house and was extremely diappointed to find that it does not appear to have any assignable key commands. (Even standard offsets do not work; so assigning keys to things like 'HDG SEL' or 'NAV' is the FS settings, don't work in the plane!).This is the first PMDG release that I am aware of that has ommitted this and it is very disappointing, not just for hardware controller users like me, but for anyone that prefers using some keyboard commands for basic functions like the autopilot control, heading bug, etc, instead of having to reach for the mouse and make fiddly adjustments for everything.I am very pleased I discovered this before investing! ............ if you happy to use the mouse for everything, the J41 has a stunning VC, gorgous sounds, a lovely flight model, and good animations. If you want something a heck of a lot slower and lower, the A2A Piper Cub was released, with Accusim and is lovely in every respect (but I find flying small GA planes like this a bit unchallenging / unvaried after a shortwhile. Prefer the more complex stuff).Aside from that, while you have been away, I'm afraid there is still no Level D 757, still no Airsimmer A320, still no PMDG 737 NGX and still no Digital Aviation CRJ X !Regards,Davido.

Hi Dougal,I don't think we had met before you left, but I am glad to see you back after waging your war and winning. Lots of great new stuff around like the L-39 from Lotus and new and improved touches here and there elsewhere. Dispite the ussual entertainment of fervent fights, fevers and follies among members, it seems to be a bit of a slower time, but rumour has it that some goodies are coming our way. Welcome back!Stephen
Thanks for the feedback guys.Is Avsim fully back up speed after that nasty stuff? I haven't looked at the file library yet.....
