How to startup cold?

Recommended Posts

Sorry to say, I'm a newbie to FS2002 - I've been a loyal Fly! simmer for years, flying PMDG's excellent Fly! 777 and 757 planes.Well, now that the PMDG 737 for FS2002 is out, I've gotta get used to FS2002! I've slowly been learning all the ins and outs of this sim.One question: Whenever I create a new flight with the PMDG 737, the plane autostarts the engines. Obvisouly, I don't want this - I would like to walk into a cold, dark plane!I cannot find a setting for this _anywhere_ in FS2002...Could one of you FS2002 experts please help me out?Thanks!- Bill Ruppel

This should work:Start a new flight normally. When the flight has loaded, shut down engines, lights etc. - configure the plane the way you want it when you start the flightNow, click Save Flight from the manu and save it with any name and description you want. Check the box "Make this flight the default flight" and click OK.

Try this file, I've used it with no problems'Filename: mlcadgau.zip License: Freeware Added: 28th December 2002 Downloads: 1776 Author: Matthias Lieberecht Size: 2kb FS2002 Cold and Dark Cockpit Gauge This Gauge starts every aircraft with a cold and dark cockpit (switched off Engines, Avionics and the complete Electricity) when on grond. The Gauge works with absolutely every Panel and aircraft (Free-, Share- and Payware) no matter if it is a Prop, Turboprop or Jet and it's easy to install. (JW)
