I just got this thermal paste, the ARCTIC MX-3... and now my system is running 10 degrees celcius cooler... I'm really freaking impressed and at 15 dollars it's cheaper than a fan :) Anyone else using this stuff or anything better...I went from 48 degrees to 38. Totally would recommend this stuff to anyone.

You really have to be careful in thinking that the brand of the paste really caused that difference. I have used many brands off and on and have not seen a big difference between them. I bet that your cpu either wasn't properly seated or the old paste was improperly applied, and that caused the difference.

actually the old stuff I was using was just generic thermal paste.. the stuff you get for like 2bux a pop at the electronic store. But I hear you there's probably very little difference between the good brands.
