November 26, 200916 yr Hi, just a quick question; I recently clean installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. I reinstalled FXS and UTX USA/Europe, and I added everything I had in my cfg file from Vista to the cfg file for the new install, including the [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=7 entry. Under Vista, I have never experienced any stutters or slide show with this setting, however Window 7 is totally different, I have micro and not so micro stutters and just real bad nearly unplayable experience with the same hardware and settings. I tried AffinityMask=14 as well but it doesn't make a difference. So what gives, ever since the Win 7 upgrade I can't play FSX anymore.Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)Language: English (Regional Setting: English)System Manufacturer: System manufacturerSystem Model: System Product NameBIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PGProcessor: Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHzMemory: 4096MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 4094MB RAMPage File: 1615MB used, 6571MB availableWindows Dir: C:\WindowsDirectX Version: DirectX 11Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Manufacturer: NVIDIAChip type: GeForce 8800 GTDAC type: Integrated RAMDACDevice Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0611&SUBSYS_C8013842&REV_A2Display Memory: 2286 MBDedicated Memory: 495 MBShared Memory: 1791 MBCurrent Mode: 1440 x 900 (32 bit) (60Hz)Monitor Name: Generic PnP MonitorMonitor Model: Acer AL1916WMonitor Id: ACRAD52Native Mode: 1440 x 900(p) (59.887Hz)Output Type: DVIDriver Name: nvd3dumx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2umDriver File Version: 8.16.0011.9107 (English)Driver Version: 8.16.11.9107DDI Version: 10Driver Model: WDDM 1.1Driver Attributes: Final RetailDriver Date/Size: 9/27/2009 16:12:22, 9441384 bytesWHQL Logo'd: Yes
November 28, 200916 yr Try AffinityMask=3 or not use it at all.Actually you might try deleting the fsx.cfg file and let fsx rebuild it.
